Holy Trinity HS Mission Trip

Why a Summer Mission Trip?
In July of 2016, for the first time in the history of Holy Trinity Parish, we traveled with 15 high school students and 3 adult chaperones to the town of Mexico, Maine to serve the poor in the local community. This trip came about through a desire of our Parish high school students who wanted a way to be involved in activities in the summer months. We spend a week living and working in the Mexico and Rumford, Maine areas and serving directly with individual homeowners with needs they have but cannot do themselves or afford. This summer we will be returning to Maine with 22 high school students and 8 chaperones! It is an amazing gift to have so many high schoolers interested in joining us this year, but in order to make this trip happen, we need your help!

How can I help?
Great question! First and foremost you can join with us in prayer for the teens and adult chaperones who will serve on mission in Maine this summer, that they truly encounter the person of Jesus Christ in all of the people they serve and minister to.  Secondly, please share this page with everyone you know. The best way to get the word out about our needs for funding is for you to share and promote this trip to all of your family and friends.

What are the costs?
Rental cost for 4 15 passenger vans for the week, insurances, the fee for each adult chaperone, gas, team building activities prior to departure, and other various expenses both now and during the summer week. We hope to raise about $6000 here, and then raise the remainder of the funds through in Church collections, community events, individual donors and other work which will be directed and run by the teens going on the mission.
