Princess Kayleigh’s Leukaemia Battle

This is Kayleigh who is 7 years old, from South Shields, Tyne & Wear. She attends St Mary’s RC Primary school, Jarrow.
Kayleigh was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in May 2015 and complete the treatment but has sadly relapsed with the disease in May 2019.
At present the plan is to treat Kayleigh with chemotherapy, the medications which will be used are stronger than the last period of illness and due to this she will need long stays in hospital missing much of school and normal childhood activities.
If Kayleigh does not respond to the treatment sufficiently then she may require to use other options of treatment, such as Bone Marrow Transplant or Stem Cell treatment.
We are going To raise money in the name of Kayleigh to go towards any treatment if needed and also for a big Princess surprise when we manage to get her better, any money we raise will be in Kayleigh’s name and any leftover funds will be used to help any charities who have helped us and families in similar situations as us.
No child should have to fight horrible disease once never the less twice but anyone who knows Kayleigh she is a fighter and will fight with every breath. We will keep everyone updated on her progress throughout treatment through her Facebook page “Princess Kayleigh Brennan’s Leukaemia Fight” and what funds are used on.
