On average, a box of tampons or pads can range from $4.00-7.00 and women will spend about $18,000 on feminine hygiene products in her lifetime! In most states, feminine hygiene products are still considered a luxury item and cannot even be purchased with food stamps, leaving many women in need without the necessary products to be healthy!
The Homeless Period Project's mission is to provide sanitary products to women and girls. We also strive to educate, bring awareness to and end the stigma of menstruation in our society!
We are beginning a new chapter in Kansas City, MO and need your help getting it started! Your donations will be spread all over Kansas City in low income schools/women's and homeless shelters!
