Mindy developeed headaches around the first of November. Her initial diagnosis was suspected Viral Meningitis. She was in and out of the hospital during the month of November.  She was not getting better and more tests were run that suggested there may be cancer cells in her spinal fluid. However, the final tests were not available over the Thanksgiving holiday. But Sunday, she was admitted to the hospital once again and doctors revealed that she had metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her brain and spinal fluid. As this is incurable and not wanting to cause any additional pain, no further treatments were given. After a brief time in hospice, where she was made comfortable, Mindy passed away peaceful on Wednesday evening. Mindy will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter, friend and teacher. This fund is set up for her children, William (14) and Alex (11) as an education fund.
