Houston City Dance loses grant funding

City Dance Studio loss their operations grant from the Houston Arts Alliance. The non-profit has received the grant for years, but recent changes at the Arts Alliance left City Dance with little notice to make up the funds. The  grant helped with daily operations,  performances, and most importantly scholarships for children from low income communities.

The mission of Houston City Dance is to bring the many aspects of the dance experience to the most extensive and diverse population possible, through dance education programs, performing companies, and volunteer opportunities.  City Dance also serves as an incubator for fledgling artists and organizations through usage of our performing space.
