House Restoration: typhoon damage

This is Norman Blanco, originally from the Philippines but now a US citizen residing at Watsonville, California. I am asking for  your generosity to help my parents raise funds to repair the roof of their house located at Langagan, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, Philippines that was severely damaged by typhoon Ompong (the attached picture is taken just after the typhoon). Ompong (international name Mangkhut), one of the strongest typhoon that visited the northern part of the Philippines, have left my aging parents (my dad, Adolfo Blanco, is 79 and my mom, Juana Blanco,  is 78) in very terrible living conditions. Almost the whole roof of their house is dismantled and blown away. Only a few trusses holding some galvanized iron sheets that weathered the storm are left and almost everything inside got soaked as they sought shelter during the typhoon. The roof needs a complete reconstruction. Wooden beams, trusses, galvanized iron sheets and everything related to the construction of a roof is urgently needed. Up to now, the inside of the house is exposed to the open skies. They don't have any source of income to shoulder the much needed repairs. They are crying for help as they cannot afford the cost of restoration and that is why I am appealing to your generosity.

As I believe that  it would not be safe to have the funds directly sent to them, I will manage the funds directly from here. I will withdraw the funds and send it by bank transfers as the construction progresses. I will post the development of construction as they get accomplished.
