Hope's Respiratory PT clinic

On March 22nd, Hope has an appointment to see a Respitory Physical Therapist named Dr. Mary Massery in Chicago. Our insurance doesn't cover this appointment since it is out of state. The cool thing is that Memorial Hospital in South Bend is sending all three of Hope's therapists to be with us at this appointment so they can be trained by Dr. Massery on how to specifically work with Hope. The appointment itself is $480 plus travel to Chicago.
There is no one in the state of Indiana who is able to do this type of training. Dr. Massery will see Hope with her three therapists and thoroughly teach them how to work with the inter-relationship of her cardiopulmonary, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, integumentary (skin/connective tissue) and gastro-intestinal systems and issues. This will be a three hour appointment and it will be video taped so that they can continue to watch and learn the special techniques that Dr. Massery will be using with Hope.
Hope’s skull and neck are fused together, she has had four airway surgeries, has had to have her skull remodeled, has chronic hernia issues, and her entire body is very fragile. She has wonderful therapists but they are needing guidance with how to effectively help Hope grow stronger without hurting her. She has so many issues and her condition is so rare. Currently there are less than 40 people in the entire world diagnosed with her condition and Dr. Massery is specifically trained to work with the most severe connective tissue disease patients world-wide.
We are excited for this opportunity and we've had this appointment on the calendar for many months now. Thanks for helping us help Hope!
Bless you!
