Hope's Broken Heart

Hope is a 6 month old westie pup who came to Many Tears from a breeder as she had a high grade heart murmur.  This is very often a sign of Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) which is a congenital heart disease.  In addition to this poor Hope also has Cranio Mandibular Oteopathy which is more commonly known as westie jaw.

Hope went to see our heart specialist who immediately performed PDA surgery which was successful and she is now settling in her foster home and doing very well.  She loves her food and loves snuggling in her bed with a cuddly bear and in time she will be ready to find her new home.

Hope is called that because she really hopes there are people out there to  help towards the cost medical treatment which we are expecting to be in the region of £3,000 once she has been signed off and ready for adoption.

If anyone is able to donate to our Broken Heart Fund, we would be extremely grateful no matter how large or small.  If we exceed the amount needed for Hope's care any extra money will be used towards specialist care for one of our other dogs.
