Hope For Willie
Hello Family & Friends,
Our Brother, William (Willie) Carr, was in the hospital in the ICU battling a chronic lung disorder in Orlando, Florida. Willie went home to our Lord Savior around 2pm EST Sunday, March 26, 2017.
Willie and his wife (Mary) were in Daytona Beach for a few months while Willie was working as a salesperson for a roofing company. He contracted a flu, which attacked his upper respiratory system and his already compromised lungs (sarcoidosis). Willie was admitted into the Orlando-VA Hospital on Feb 27, 2017.
The doctors worked around the clock to cure the infection that ravaged his lungs and Willie fought extremely hard to conquer this infection. The physicians placed him into a state of sedation for about a week in an attempt to deal with the transition to a ventilator, to help heal his lungs, to assist him with breathing and to reduce the strain on his heart. We strongly believe in the Power of Prayer and Willie is now at peace resting above.
Willie was a wonderful person with a true heart of gold. He had no enemies. If you have ever met him, you would remember his kindness and his lovely soul. You would walk away feeling love, compassion and probably an earful of the many topics that he is passionate about. Willie enjoyed growing up with 14 siblings, was a single father to his identical twin boys (Matt & Mark) and his stepdaughter (Trisha). He was a loving grandpa to two beautiful little granddaughters. He found his true love when he met Mary and married less than two years ago. Willie honorably and proudly served his country as a Marine.
Our family bond is very strong and we are working together to help support our brother and his family. It has been an extremely difficult journey for us and has been a huge financial strain to them with many unpaid bills.
Please help bless this family to assist them in this difficult situation. It would give Willie peace of mind knowing he has support while he is fought for his life. If you are unable to donate, you can still help by keeping our entire family in your thoughts and prayers. You can also help by sharing this page with your family and friends.
Willie’s favorite song was by Journey, “Don’t Stop Believing.” From the Bottom of our Hearts, Thank You!
