Hope for Phillip

We are the family members of Phillip Palanzo Jr. A 10 year old boy who was diagnosed with D.I.P.G ( Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) on May 10, 2018. The symptoms came on suddenly, beginning with headaches and vomiting that was being casually treated as migraines by a local pediatric neurologist. After an emergency trip to the E.R, the CT scan revealed fluid on the brain. With a hard push by Phillip’s parents for additional testing, Phillip was sent to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. It was then that the rare brain tumor was discovered. Within weeks,this aggressive tumor has attacked. Radiation and clinical trials will be the next plan of action.

Our goal, is to raise money to help offset the medical and travel expenses incurred during this difficult time.

***UPDATE***
Since we began this go fund me page, Phillip began treatment at U.C.S.F in San Francisco. The treatment has had some success, but Phillip needs to enter into a new, promising trial (radioactive iodine molecular radiotherapy). The costs for treatment is nearing Two Million dollars and growing. We kindly ask for your continued support with donations by sharing his story and the go fund me page with your family,  friends, and co-workers. The fight goes on, and we must continue to spread the word and help support Phillip in this battle. This brave, strong, and courageous young boy, always has a smile on his face and continues to laugh despite the hardships he has endured.
