The doctor is in Ukraine and ready to operate. However, the doctor has required that payment in full must be made by December 12th. Through the fundraising that many of you have helped with, the remaining balance is now about $15,000 Euros. We are in contact with Anna's parents almost every day. They are also raising funds in Ukraine.

This little 8-year-old angel needs our help and support. This wonderful child Anna Kivshik was diagnosed with a brainstem Glioma. None of us are immune to various troubles, difficult situations … Often things happen suddenly. Ann's life changed in one morning when she suddenly began to feel very badly. After many medical examinations, the brain tumor was found and the heavy verdict was rendered. Treatment began. In September, 2017 the girl was taken to Adzhibadem-Altunizade clinic, in Istanbul. Before the operation it was necessary to complete a course of radiation treatment and chemotherapy. There was some success as the tumor’s size was reduced by 50% and all indicators were normal. She endured 24 rounds of chemotherapy during this time. After the last year of treatment, the child’s health began to deteriorate; loss of coordination and her eyes began to sink down.
25.10.18 Anna was rushed to the emergency room in Kharkiv for her failing health. She was immediately hospitalized and was unable to stand on her own. After carrying out an MRI of the head and a spinal cord a diagnosis of Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) was made.
29.10.18 Ann was operated on and a shunt was inserted to reduce the pressure on her brain. At the present moment the main tumor is operable. The surgery will take place in the city of Kharkiv and be performed by the Swiss professor Evaldas Chesnulis with a crew of international and local neurosurgeons.
The operation will cost 50,000 Euros. While some of these costs have been collected, 25,000 Euros are still needed to save the child’s life. Very soon, namely on November 18, the baby will have a birthday and your help will be the biggest gift of all for her! I know that a large sum of money is necessary, but any amount that you can give, no matter how big or small, we will be able to bring the chance of a healthy life for Anna! A happy life!
