Hope for Kenyan Glue Kids

Introduction
Thousands of homeless kids roam the streets of Nairobi, Kenya. Most of them are orphans and lack basic amenities you and i take for granted. Due to this reason and other reasons, they have turn to scavenging, stealing and doing odd jobs two make ends meet. Their age ranges from as low 3 years old to 17 years old. Most of these kids are discriminated against and seen as the 'no ambition kids'. During my long stay in Kenya (2012-2016), i've come in close contact with some of these kids in downtown Nairobi. Contrary two what people have said about them, i saw kids who want a second chance at life and not cast away the way people have. It really broke me but there was little i could do then.
What is the project?
This project has been put together by myself and some colleagues across Africa to help save the lives of kids who are engaged in sniffing glue (stimulant) and to give them a second chance at life through rehabilitation and re-integration.
Why is it so important?
There are over five thousand kids exposed to this addiction (glue sniffing) all across kenya. It will be worthy of me and you to help these children find a new life. A lot of them have been neglected and left to 'die' while some of them engage in illegal activities to survive each day that comes by. Me and you can actually make a difference by giving these kids a new meaning to life.
How your donation counts?
No matter how small or big your donation is, it is acceptable. Majority of the money raised shall go into procuring basic amenities for the children and emergency medicare to those who need it. We also plan to send some of these children back to school. We can only help as much children as the donation runs out so extra donations are welcome. As part of our long term goal is to get as many kids as possible into rehab and give them a positive definition to life. We have been in contacts with local rehabilitation centres in Kenya and we will be working along side former street boys who have been in this same dilemma and now doing good for themselves and the community. With your support we hope to get as many kids off the streets as possible.
Note: According to drug free world, an organization with the view of eradicating drug addiction and abuse, They highlighted short and long term side effects of glue sniffing. They include; slurred speech, drunk, dizzy or dazed appearance, inability two coordinate movement, hallucinations and delusions. Prolonged sniffing of These chemicals can induces irregular and rapid heartbeat and lead to heart failure and death within at that the minutes. Death from suffocation can occur by replacing oxygen in the lungs with the chemical, and then in the central nervous system, so that breathing ceases etc. This could be me and you in this situation, make a difference in a child's life today, let's put aside personal differences and work towards a main objective.
We don't have to wait for the government to do everything for us, we can rise up together and get things done.
