Hope. Fight. Win. Team Eliza thanks you

A few days after her 26th birthday, on August 6, 2019, our son's wife, Eliza Reid Erickson received news that made absolutely no sense. "You have an aggressive form of breast cancer. There are two tumors in your breast, and there are lymph nodes involved." Young, strong, healthy and with no family history, all of a sudden absolutely everything changed. In the days since, she and her young family have scrambled to comprehend all of the information coming at them: Seemingly endless appointments, aggressive chemotherapy for 5 months (starting immediately), followed by a (likely) mastectomy, and then 30 rounds of radiation over 6 weeks, 5 days a week. Essentially, a year of all-consuming treatment if everything goes according to plan...  "And oh, by the way, you can't be in the gym with kids during chemo, so sorry about eliminating your income..."  We don't really know what the total of medical bills will be, except to say that copays alone are already totaling more than $500 per week over the past couple of weeks, and treatment hasn't even started yet. Aside from that, we know that day-to-day expenses will immediately become a tremendous hardship with only one earner, in a young family just starting out.  We have started this GoFundMe knowing that there is an army of #TeamEliza supporters out there who just want to be able to 'do something'. We know we can't fix this and make it all better, but we can still do something. We can all share this across our social networks *today*, and get it in front of hundreds of people to grow the team. We can lean in and help these kids by lifting some of their financial burden through donations so they can focus on Eliza's treatment and recovery, and on loving and raising Logan during this rough journey ahead. As our first official act, we plan to get Eliza and Tony a new bed with an adjustable base that will make her recovery a little less painful and snuggles with Logan a little easier, and then focus the effort on offsetting the onslaught of copays and uncovered medical expenses, made even more financially overwhelming due to the loss of Eliza's income.
