Honoring Irene Friberg

Irene was an incredible, vibrant woman who touched the hearts of so many people in her life. From her work as a Social Worker and Therapist, to the relationships she forged with and for her daughter, Linnea. 

Irene loved life and she enjoyed sharing this zest with all others. So, at the end of her life I would like to do the same for her.  She was not one to cater to the “doom and gloom of a funeral service,” (her words, not mine) “so when my time comes I want everyone to cry, but only because they are laughing so hard at all of the good times.”

To honor Irene, my beloved mother, and her wishes, we will not be holding a formal funeral service. Instead, close family will be spreading her ashes at sea, and anyone who would like to remember Irene can do so at a large, festive dinner party. All information is TBD at the moment but a portion of these funds will go towards having excellent food, beautiful flowers and lively music to remember the strength, energy and love Irene brought to all those around her. 

Any extra funds will go towards the legal fees for the probate process to transfer her Estate into my name.
