Honey Needs a Mass Removed

Honey was turned in to Animal Control by her family after 11 years because she got into a fight with the other dog in the home.  We suspect it was a younger dog who may have been tormenting her because though she clearly prefers people to other dogs she has never become aggressive towards any of the other dogs here.  She's met quite a few and just prefers to ignore them.  
When she arrived there was a lot of interest and we have selected an adopter but we will not adopt her until she's spayed and so we took her to our vet for a presurgical exam.  They found a lump on her mammary gland which is suspicious and will need to be removed and biopsied.  So we are hoping you can help us raise the funds to get her this surgery.   We hope you will all send positive thoughts her way too.  Any amount is will help and of course, we appreciate it if you can share for this great dog.   We can't imagine what would make someone abandon a dog at this stage of life but Honey is happy here with her volunteer friends and she will go to a home once we have an answer from the biopsy.
