Homey's Cancer Fund

Homey was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer in October 2018. Unfortunately, most esophageal cancers do not cause symptoms until they have reached an advanced stage, when they are harder to treat. In fact, John was found to be perfectly healthy at his most recent wellness checkup only a couple months prior to his cancer diagnosis. 

Since the cancer had already spread before it was discovered, it cannot be removed with surgery. Therefore, Homey's doctor has him on a very aggressive chemotherapy treatment schedule. He wears a 24/7 portable IV chemo pump and also goes in periodically for additional chemo treatments at the cancer center. According to his doctor, John will be receiving chemotherapy treatments for the rest of his life. 

Due to the advanced staging of the cancer and the aggressive treatment schedule, both Homey and I have stopped working to focus all our energy on fighting this cancer. 

For those of you who know him, you know he is a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, son, friend, etc. and would help anyone in any way he can. We all know that medical expenses can add up quick, so any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated. 

The outpour of support from all of our friends and family during this time has been incredible, and we are so grateful. It is giving us both so much strength. Thank you all so much! And Roll Tide!
