Homewood Christian Academy is a state recognized pre-Kindergarten thru 8th grade Christian school providing quality education at an affordable tuition for the families living in the South Suburban Chicago area. HCA's commitment to providing a biblical world view through educating the minds and ministering to the souls of our students has made us the standard for producing the next generation of Christian leaders for 40 years.  Right now, just like many organizations, we are challenged by tough economic conditions.  We are seeking financial support. But why choose to support our particular school? We are worth the investment from many perspectives.  
The majority of our students live in at-risk or failing public school districts. HCA is uniquely qualified to provide parents residing in low achieving school districts with an option for their children to give them access to a high quality education. From Pre-K through 8th grade, our program is exceptional.  Almost all of our students meet and exceed yearly state and national standards for academic achievement. Even though our school has a 67% poverty rate, the typical HCA student who has been enrolled for three years scores 13 months above the state and national averages on achievement tests. When an HCA student experiences academic or social difficulty, educators implement an intervention plan that involves teachers and parents to facilitate academic success and restore self-esteem. Our instructional program is enhanced by a variety of stimulating learning experiences, including recreation, music, dance, and Spanish, and technology. We provide continuous professional development for classroom, elective, and support staff so that all students benefit from the best instructional practices.
