Hometown Love 2017 Fundraiser

On May 20, 2017 I will be hosting the second annual Hometown Love celebration Basketball Tournament, Community Barbecue, and Food Drive. This family-fun, all-ages event is a chance for all the people of Norwalk to come together to share a fun time with our neighbors, while raising food to feed the less fortunate, and money to fund tuition for ten or more Norwalk students to attend summer programs at the Carver Center.
I am running this crowd funding campaign with the hope that my
friends, fans, family, and supporters will join with me, to help make this event a reality.
Last year our event had a goal of raising 500 canned goods, and in fact we raised 600- which we donated to Person to Person Food Bank of Norwalk. This year we will attempt to raise 1000!
As many of you know, there was a time when I was coming up that we didn't always know where our next meal was coming from.That's why as I've gotten older it's been important for me as a musician and member of the local business community to give back for the help I received, to help that next family in need.
One of the places where I found support and mentoring was the George Washington Carver Center, thanks to the Carver Foundation of Norwalk. They are the largest provider of after school programs in Norwalk, CT providing services to almost a 1000 kids a day, many of them of low-income, under-served community.
I am very proud to partner with Carver for this event and we hope that Hometown Love will continue to thrive in the future to help more and more people.
