Homeopathic Remedy Needed

Donation protected
This is the first time that I have ever set up a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe – or any other similar website for that matter – to ask for help from people online. Attempting to accumulate funding in this way is something that I am totally inexperienced in to be honest, and I have given up on trying to upload images to this page – since for some reason, all seven of those that I used displayed as grainy low quality representations. Please forgive me if the details given below are not as comprehensive as they ideally should be.

In February and March 2016, I started to notice that my left leg and foot were somewhat more swollen than the other, which was then followed by some of the veins becoming engorged – with trapped pools of blood in several of them that began pretty insignificant, but gradually became larger. This was then followed by skin ulceration starting to occur on the bottom of the right leg, which lead to a nasty and painful open flesh wound. Both my doctor and circulatory specialist have said that there is no actual recognised cure for Chronic Venous Insufficiency, which is the formal term used to label this issue, and the only medications available in the U.K that are intended for the treatment of the ailment are diuretics. These are very limited in scope though and are simply used to flush out a partial quantity of trapped fluid in the lower body, but are not capable of addressing the underlying issue to any extent.

Using a specially shaped leg elevation wedge for thirty minutes each night before I go to sleep is a superior way to drain away excess fluid, and I have also begun doing a lot more exercise on a daily basis in order to increase the rate of blood circulation. That's why I closed down my Facebook and Twitter accounts a few months ago, because since I work from home and barely get any activity whatsoever throughout the day, I can't then spend most of the evening in front of a laptop as well. Instead I need to be going for a long walk (even in the often rainy English weather) and deliberately going all the way to the top of a steep hill, as this physical exertion helps contribute towards the natural healing mechanism in the tissue cells of the legs and feet. However, earlier on this year I found a local holistic therapist who claimed to be able to clear ailments related to poor blood circulation entirely – and after only three sessions, I could both see and feel the biggest improvement I have ever experienced by a significant margin. Unfortunately though this herbal liquid – where each batch is custom made for each client – is certainly not cheap, and to someone who earns a very modest upper working class calibre salary per month, the extra £120.00 a week is a cost that I cannot realistically afford.

The British National Health Service do not pay for, or even contribute towards, such treatments as they are regarded as being “Nutritional” instead of “Pharmaceutical” – and whilst I do understand why the powers that be hold that opinion on such an area of therapy, their ignorant assumptions are absolutely wrong. It's quite clear that there are countless health conditions where medical science has not even found an effective way to reduce the symptoms, never mind cure the patient completely – yet I have seen that nature can definitely provide a remedy, when prescription drugs are not an option in any way. Some might consider that to be unusual and at one point in my life I would have agreed, but definitely not any more. Unfortunately though, none of the seven herbal extracts used in the tincture are easily accessible in the U.K and must be imported from Singapore – whilst it is totally legal to send these from Asia to Europe, it is still very expensive to do so. The figure of £6,200 has been arrived at in a precise manner, as quite simply that is what my holistic therapist Janie says will be necessary to fund a full one year worth of this treatment, that being when applied topically three times daily – apart from Wednesday and Saturday. Whether or not the problem will be completely cleared within a period of twelve months is impossible to ascertain at this point.

An ongoing problem with efficient circulation in the lower body is unfortunately hereditary in our family, as although my sister seems to have escaped this curse, my dad is blighted by the same fundamental issue as me – albeit to a far lesser extent – and my grandmother suffered with it really badly later in life too. So much in fact, that the level of fluid retention in her legs meant that she was unable to walk much at all between 1994 and 1997 when she passed away, and relied heavily on a manual wheelchair to get around throughout this period. I have recently become deeply concerned that I might end up in the same situation and although I am only in my thirties and old age seems like a lifetime away, having seen first hand what it is like for a close family member to end up like that, I intend to fight against the onslaught of this condition as much as I possibly can.
