Te invitamos a apoyar un homenaje a nuestros dos líderes sociales asesinados en el municipio de Chiriguaná: Néstor Martínez y Naimen Lara.
Néstor era un líder social, defensor de los derechos humanos y ambientalista, y fue asesinado en 2017 por alzar su voz en contra de la corrupción local y de los efectos dañinos de la minería de carbón sobre los residentes y el medio ambiente. Naimen era profesor de educación física, dedicado a proteger la juventud de caer en la drogadicción y en la comercialización sexual – Naimen murió durante un asalto de la policía a una manifestación pacífica en el 2016.
Los días 18 y 19 de enero se realizará el Primer Festival Deportivo y Cultural como homenaje en el casco urbano de Chiriguaná. Durante los dos días, se realizarán diferentes eventos con los habitantes de las comunidades cercanas, como talleres en Educación para la Paz y Derechos Humanos, así como actividades artísticas y deportivas. Todos los ingresos se destinarán a la organización del evento, en cabeza de Narlis Guzmán Angulo. Estos costos incluyen el alquiler de los espacios necesarios, los honorarios de los facilitadores contratados, así como almuerzos para los participantes durante los dos días.
Con este evento, daremos visibilidad a la problemática de los asesinatos de líderes sociales a lo largo y ancho del territorio colombiano, que se han intensificado en los últimos años. Motivaremos a la comunidad a que se informe sobre y se apropie de sus derechos. Dejaremos en claro que estos crímenes no pueden quedar impunes y que estamos en solidaridad con las comunidades de Chiriguaná y el Cesar. Unamos nuestras manos con La Sierra y, como diría Narlis, no nos demos por vencidos hasta que lo malo sea bueno, lo bueno mejor y lo mejor excelente.

Wir laden dich herzlich ein, eine Ehrung für zwei Menschenrechtsaktivisten, Néstor Martínez und Naimen Lara, ermordet in Chiriguaná, Kolumbien, zu unterstützen.
Néstor war community-leader und Menschenrechtsaktivist, und er wurde 2017 ermordet, für seine Kritik gegen lokale Korruption und gegen die schädliche Konsequenzen des Kohlebergbaus für die Umwelt und die Gemeinschaft. Naimen war Sportlehrer, und er arbeitete mit Jugendlichen, um sie vom Drogenkonsum und von der Kinderprostitution fernzuhalten – Naimen wurde 2016 von einem Polizist während einer friedlichen Demonstration ermordet.
Am 19. und 19. Januar wird in ihrer Ehrung der Primer Festival Deportivo y Cultural in Chiriguaná stattfinden. Während den zwei Tagen, werden Dorfeinwohner und Gäste bei mehreren Veranstaltungen teilnehmen dürfen, wie z.B. Workshops in Friedenspädagogik und Menschenrechte, sowie künstlerische und sportliche Aktivitäten. Alle Spenden gehen in die Durchführung des Events, geleitet durch Narlis Guzmán Angulo, auch community-leader und Umweltaktivistin. Darunter zahlen die Miete für die benötigte Räumlichkeiten, Honorare für die eingeladenen Trainers, sowie Mittagessen für alle Teilnehmer an beiden Tagen.
Durch dieses Event, werden wir die Problematik der systematischer Ermordung von community-leaders und Menschenrechtsaktivisten im kolumbianischen Territorium hervorheben. Wir werden die Gemeinschaft dazu motivieren, sich über ihre eigene Rechte zu informieren und sich diesen anzueignen. Wir werden klarstellen, dass diese Verbrechen nicht ungestraft bleiben dürfen, und dass wir in Solidarität mit den Menschen in Chiriguaná und Cesar stehen. Lass uns, wie Narlis sagen würde, zusammen mit La Sierra, nicht aufgeben, bis das Schlechte gut, das Gute besser, und das Bessere exzellent wird!

We warmly invite you to support an event in honor of two of our murdered community leaders in the area of Chiriguaná: Néstor Martínez and Naimen Lara.
Néstor was a community leader, human rights defender and environmentalist; he was murdered in 2017 for being brave enough to raise his voice against local corruption and the damaging effects of coal mining on people and the environment. Naimen was a physical education teacher, who dedicated his life to protect youths from drugs and sexual commercialisation. He died after police attacked a peaceful demonstration in 2016.
We picked the 18th and 19th of January for the First Sports and Culture Festival in homage of our parted friends. It will take place in the village of Chiriguaná. In the course of two days, we will carry out different events in cooperation with the inhabitants of the nearby communities. These include workshops on peace education and human rights (an important part of the post-conflict), artistic activities and sports. All donations raised will go to the event, organised by Narlis Guzmán Angulo. The local community is doing efforts to raise as much money by themselves as they can, but the costs include the rent for the place, the salary of the facilitators for the workshops and the food needed for all participants on both days.
With these festival, we hope to give some visibility to the urgent problem of the assassinations of community leaders and human rights defenders in all of Colombia. This situation has only gotten worse in the last couple of years; so we wish to motivate the community to inform themselves, and to demand their rights. We will make it clear that these heinous crimes cannot go unpunished and that we express solidarity with the people in Chiriguaná and Cesar. Let's join our hands with La Sierra and, like Narlis says, not give up until the bad is good, the good better, and the better excellent.
