Home Modification for Senior who suffered a fall

This is my dad.  He fell down the stairs at his home in Red Deer. Regretfully he broke his neck and needed surgery to repair the bones.  He damaged his spinal cord also and will need mobility assistance once he is released from the Hospital.  We need to make modifications to their home in order to ease his mobility with a wheelchair.  Unfortunately government programs will not help my parents with any monies for this type of modifications because they do not qualify for one reason or other.  If you require information from any health care worker who are working with my dad please do not hesitate to ask.  I can forward you what they recommend we should do.  The funds are required as soon as possible in order for us to start the renovations.  The renovations required are, a lift to get him up to and in to the house, doorway widening, bathroom modifications.
