Home AED for Will Spollen

I'm Will Spollen, a distance runner from Ocean Lakes High School. After a recent trip to the cardiologist, a treadmill stress test revealed potential concern for an arythmia in my heart. After the genetic testing came back, it was shown I have a gene mutation that is associated with a condition called CPVT (catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia). Because of this I am being treated with a medication the doctor did not allow me to race the regional and state cross country championships and I have not been cleared to race yet. Our local doctor told us to have a personal AED, and having a personal AED will also help me to be cleared to race. AEDs are very expensive devices and it would mean a lot to me and my family for you to donate a small aount of money to help us pay for an AED. Thank you for helping me to be allowed to race again!
