Holy Trinity Sensory Fundraiser

Holy Trinity SNS is located in Donaghmede, Dublin 13. It is a Senior School with thirteen mainstream classes from 3rd to 6th class and two ASD classes.

In November 2017, the new ASD building was opened. This building is connected to the mainstream school and it is called 'Le Chéile'.  Our principal, David Henry, chose this name to reinforce the importance of integration and inclusion in our school. The boys and girls from            'Le Chéile' attend their mainstream classes on a daily basis, while the rest of the school also benefit from the use of the new area through activities such as monthly assemblies, yoga, breakfast club, choir, boxing and a soft play area. This new addition to our school is fantastic and it is clear that all the children are benefiting from these facilities.

As 'Le Chéile' is a new building, we are still working to create a safe, practical and educational atmosphere to give the children the opportunities they need to reach their full potential. To achieve this, we are currently looking to create a Sensory Room and Ballpool area. In order to do this correctly, the specialised equipment and fitting costs  are expensive. However, the long term benefits of having these facilities in our school are priceless.

With this in mind, our staff have decided to come together to raise money for this fantastic cause. On the 3rd March, twenty two of us will be wrapping up and heading to Kells, Co. Meath to represent the school in the Muck of Kells Obstacle Course Race. These races are challenging, but we are hoping to complete the course as a team and raise as much money as we can to give our students the facilities and education they deserve.

We may be a very determined and dedicated staff, but we cannot achieve this alone!
This is where we ask for your help! We would really appreciate it if you could come together to support us and donate whatever you can to help us care for the children of our school.

Thanking you,
Liz Keating and Gráinne Free (ASD class teachers of Holy Trinity)
