Holding up hope

This is your typical family. A Mum, a dad and 2 beautiful children. They have found their happiness. But their happiness wouldn’t be what a lot of people would describe as happy.
Meet Adam, Angie, Eddie and baby Izzy.
They are smiling in this photo, and sometimes I watch on and wonder how, if I was in Angie’s place I feel like I would be broken.
See Eddie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia a month after he turned 3. July 2017.
He has battled through painful surgery and procedures since then and undertakes a fair bit of treatment from home such as invasive chemotherapy and treatment. He has battle many life threatening illnesses and as a Now 4 year old has been to hell and back. He has undergone lumbar punctures which involve a large needle into his spine and intrathecal chemotherapy which includes injecting chemo into his spinal fluid and brain fluid. He has undergone 29 surgery’s. Think copping with cancer isn’t hard enough?
Along the way the family have copped cruel comments from people saying it’s their fault that Eddie has cancer. When I read this I was baffled. What decent human could ever say that. But, the family took it on the chin and continued beaming that bright smile, giving the best life possible to their two babies.
I watch Angie’s page closely on Facebook, simply to keep check and know they’re doing okay. Personally because of Angie’s family I now donate my blood every 3 months. And as of late things have been looking up. Angie got a job that she is loving, you can tell by the posts on her page! She’s proud of herself and it honestly warms my heart to see her feel this way (even if it’s just reading it from behind a screen.)
well that changed tonight. Angie and Adam came home to this:

(Quote from Angie’s Facebook page) “We’ve come home tonight to find our front door kicked in and our house trashed beyond repair for some things.
We’ve had valuable things stolen and mine and Adams wedding rings stolen.
Other valuable family valuables.

We are devestated.
With a child with cancer and working our asses off to try to get ahead.
We are broken. They have taken so much, eddies valuables and our valuables.

Machines to help with Eddie.
Our 4 year old has high risk acute lymphoblastic leukaemia / blood cancer and we have lost pain medication and our ability to live in our own home for the next few days.
My pandora bracelets. Everything they could find. And what they couldn’t carry they trashed.

We are heart broken and everything we’ve done to stay on our feet over the last year of our son having treatment.
We are broken right now.”

So im making this because along the way many people have offered to help Angie, and she gracefully declines and persists with the happiest life possible. I personally don’t think it’s fair, so I’m doing this for the 4 of them, giving them a kick start to fix what is so so terribly destroyed.
