Bring Hogar Children to Canada

My story is simple:  11 years ago I did not know how important the community of Hogar del Nino in El Salvador would become to me. Particularly, three, now young adults; Maritza Bautista, Ivan Guzman and Carlos Gonzales.  They have taught me and many high school students life long lessons, living amidst a visibly broken community of people with multiple disabilities.  These lessons stem from hearts of peace, of humility, love, generosity, kindness, in effect; the Beatitudes in action,  These attitudes are clouded in our society by wealth, materialism and an ego driven individualistic society leaving us Westerners with the illusion of happiness,  wearing false masks of joy, yet, hidden realistically in misery and dissatisfaction. Our inner weaknesses are our very own troubled disabilities that can never be satiated until we find peace within which comes from God.  The people of Hogar are the living embodiment of God on earth.  They love and serve selflessly as Jesus did.  We find our true meaning living in solidarity amongst societal outcasts.  

So here, is the dream - help me, by donating generously to bring these three young adults to visit Canada this summer.  Your lives will be changed when you meet these lovely people who have been left abandoned because of their physical disabilities and call Hogar their home; where I found my spiritual home.  Status, money, wealth and power become insignificant when you meet the most humble people who possess true inner peace and happiness and paradoxically own nothing.
