We wanted to take a moment to say a huge "THANK YOU!" The number of donations and messages of support have been overwhelming. We are truly humbled by the love! Although we are still reeling from the loss, it is so comforting to know that Scott and his family have had an impact on so many people. We will continue to post updates as arrangements are made.

In the meantime, we wanted to share a few more photos that celebrate Scott. He loved life and it always showed in his pictures. We will always remember his smiling face!

On behalf of the Persia and Savone families, we cannot thank you enough!

UPDATE:  February 26, 2017

It is with the ultimate pain and sadness in our hearts that we inform you that Scott passed away this morning. He was surrounded by his wife and his parents and passed peacefully. He is no longer suffering and for that, we are grateful.

We are stunned. We are heartbroken. We are truly in disbelief. Scott had to leave us before he got the chance to fight. It was only 16 days ago that we learned the diagnosis. This is a horrendous tragedy that no family should ever have to go through.

Heaven gained an angel today but Scott was always an angel to us here on earth. The family is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support. Please continue to keep them all in your hearts.

Dearest family and friends: It is with a heavy heart that we are here asking for help for Scott, Maria and Mia Persia as they go through the unimaginable. On February 10th, it was found that Scott had a brain tumor. We learned soon after that it was a grade IV Glioblastoma. The tumor is extremely aggressive and the days since his diagnosis have been an intense emotional experience for all who know and love him. Unfortunately, surgery is not an option and there is no cure. We hope and pray for a miracle every day.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Scott knows what a kind-hearted, hard-working and fun-loving man he is. He is a tremendous father, husband, son, brother and dear friend. His genuine smile brings happiness to everyone he meets. When Scott laughs, we all laugh.

No one knows why such tragic things happen to such good people, but sadly, such is life. We can only hope that purpose and meaning will be revealed to us one day. Scott's family is the center of his universe. There are no limits to what he will do to ensure Maria and his sweet Mia are happy and cared for. We are starting this fund to help with the overwhelming financial burden that they will be facing during this difficult time. We hope to take the focus off the family's financial obligations so they have more strength to fight this devastating illness. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.

It has been said "The measure of a man is in the lives he's touched." The outpouring of love and support shown over the past few weeks for the family is a true testament to the impact that Scott has had on so many people. Please know, it has not gone unnoticed. Your support and kind words continue to lift their hearts and spirits and it is truly appreciated.

Thank you from the Persia and Savone families!
