Our dad was just unexpectedly diagnosed with AML (Acute myeloid leukemia). It has already been a long road, with many hiccups, and will continue to be a longer road. Our father will be admitted under the care of Baystate Medical Center for minimum of 35 days. This was before this first big hiccup which could cause his stay to be longer. My mother is staying with him in his hospital room 24/7 until he leaves. Due to this unexpected news, we (all 4 of us children) are trying to help as much as we can. Any donations given would be directed towards medical expenses , so my mom can stop stressing about them and focus on getting my father the care he needs and cancer free :)
As many of you have updates, my father is being treated with Chemotherapy, which currently is on his last bag (5/18/2017). He also just found out he has a perforated bowel (which is why he was having abdominal pain). They cannot operate on him until his blood levels are up to somewhat normal, unless something changes than it becomes more of an emergency than it already is. He went into the hospital with very very critcal blood levels and due to the chemo they have decreased, as expected. So now we wait. Any donations would be very much appreciated.
