Hit and Run Depleted College Fund

My name is Morgan and I will be an incoming freshman at UW-Whitewater this fall. On August 1st, I was driving in Madison, Wisconsin when a gray mini van hit the left side of my car which resulted in my air bags being deployed. I drove into a parking lot assuming the mini van would follow behind me, but it was to my surprise when I saw them speed off. I was devastated because I didn't get a description of the person or catch their license plate. I tried to open my driver side door but it would not open. I climbed out from the passenger's side door and once I saw the damage to the left side of my car, I bawled. The fact that the driver who hit me, drove away so quickly left me in devastation.
After calling for help, my mind couldn't stop racing through the scary thoughts of the cost of repair, and then it also hit me that I would be going to my first year of college in less than a month and might not have a car. I was so grateful that I was alive and okay, besides some shoulder discomfort from the left side of my car caving into me.
I have worked very hard to save my money for college and feel proud to have been able to contribute to my college fund alongside my single mother. But now that my car needs significant repairs in order to be drivable and I only have liability insurance, I have absolutely no coverage for this collision. My college fund is now going towards fixing my car and I'm asking for any type of help.
I'm looking on the bright side and am extremely grateful that I'm okay, and am glad that the other driver is obviously okay as well, despite the unfortunate circumstance. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help!
