Destinie Smith Gomez Baby Hit & Run



Destinie Alejandria Smith Gomez is a beautiful 19 year old Certified Nurse's Assistant, married to Timmothy Smith, and they were 29 weeks pregnant with their son when tragedy struck.  In Oakland, CA yesterday, at 77th and Bancroft, they were struck in the crosswalk by a speeding hit and run driver.  Destinie and Joshua both flew hundreds of feet into the air after impact and were transfered to critical care.  It is with deep sadness, that I tell you that their precious baby boy went to be with Jesus today... as he was unable to recover from the severity of the accident that caused his premature birth.  His Mommy and Daddy are still in critical condition at Highland Hospital.  We are ASKING FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!  We are asking for God's Holy Hands to intervene and save these young parents... we are asking for ANY support that you may be able to offer, to assist the family in medical costs, travel expenses for loved ones like Distinie's brother Paul, to go to California and help with any needs during her recovery, and of course for funeral expenses for this precious baby.  We are also asking that if ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE HIT AND RUN DRIVER, PLEASE CONTACT THE OAKLAND POLICE!
