Dominican Republic Part 2

I just wanted to let every know I am currently trying to raise $1,000 to travel with my students again to the Dominican Republic this year. Last year was an amazing opportunity. This year is evenmore exciting as we are taking around 30 students.
One of my favorite things that happened last year was that I got to met and minister to a lot of Haitian Refugees. The picture above is of me and a little Haitian boy I met up in the mountains. His whole family consisted of him , his mother and 3 siblings. She lived and helped at a church in the mountains. My heart broke to see them and think it only would taken one small change and that could have been me. I have never really thought much about Haiti to be honest but being there and seeing the different faces. God has really started burdening to share the same love and hope I have found in Christ.
With that being said I am asking friends and family to partner with me to be able to spread love and hope to those who are broken and hopeless. We will be partnering with Pastor Jose and Pastoria Nelly, Teen Challenge Centers in Santiago and Pastor Jimmy Jack and his crew from Long Island Teen Challenge. We will doing multiple outreaches in some of the most populated areas in Santiago including Rock the Block.
It was at a Rock the Block, last year that I was praying when the Lord gave a me a word for a man he was struggling between drugs and his duty to his family. The night after speaking with him he gave his heart to the Lord. It is those kind of moments in ministry that I would not trade for anything.
So I am asking my friends and family to give at least $1 towards my trip this year and encourage their friends to do the same. If you would like to give more it would be greatly appreciated. If you unable to give I would ask that you would keep me and my students in your prayers as we are preparing for this trip and if you know anyone looking for a way to make a differnce in someones life.
