Henry Baer Eagle Scout Project

My Eagle Scout Project is building a sandbox as well as a few safety gates on site at Project Pride in Oakland. The sandbox will provide the children who live or attend programs at the facility with a fun and safe place to play while their mothers attend classes or receive counselling.  The kids and moms at Project Pride have experienced difficult times, so I am looking forward to helping them make their time at the facility more enjoyable.

About Project Pride: Project Pride is a program in Oakland designed to support self-sufficiency and wellness of high-need individuals and families. The program provides comprehensive and integrated services for mental health, substance abuse and related health conditions while addressing housing and employment. Project Pride helps more than 750 people annually to build healthy and productive futures for themselves and their families.
