Help Willard Bay Gardens

Willard Bay Gardens has been a staple in the community for 70 years! This nursery started back in 1948 as Chadwick Plants. Barney & Della Barnett took over in 1988 and renamed the business Willard Bay Gardens. 


Barney & Della shared their love of plants with the community for thirty years. Barney passed away January 22, 2018. Della kept the nursery going until June of this year. 

Despite concerns the nursery might not carry on, Della was able to sell the nursery to Marjorie & Terry Ross. The Ross family has lived in Willard over twenty years, and Marjorie has worked at Willard Bay Gardens since 2005! They are looking forward to keeping the tradition going.


As you can imagine, after being in business for so long Willard Bay Gardens is in need of several updates and repairs. 

Any funds donated will go directly to updating Willard Bay Gardens! These funds will be used for:

- Repairing the greenhouse roofs
- Rewiring the electrical work
- Fixing the well to keep water running for the plants
- Renovating the visitor gardens
- Revamping the septic system
- Replacing wood in the greenhouses
- General updates around the facilities

We'd like to have the bulk of these repairs done by the time we re-open in the spring! Please do not feel pressure to donate, but know that any contribution is greatly appreciated! The Ross family is hoping to bring the facilities up to date so the nursery can keep running for several more years and keep serving the community!
