Help Toni Beat Bowel Cancer

First of all, on behalf of Toni, her husband and two young children, we would like to say thank you for visiting this page.
On the 8th of November 2017, Toni’s world was completely flipped on its head. A routine colonoscopy for an upset tummy came back with the worst possible news that Toni had an aggressive tumour on her bowel.
8 days later she was straight in for her operation to remove the aggressive tumour and resection her bowel.
During recovery of this operation Toni was keeping positive, and, like the little pocket rocket she is, was saying “I’ll be back at work on Monday morning… Even after such a huge operation. Following the operation, Toni was delivered even more bad news that the tumour was cancerous.
When things couldn’t get much worse, Toni experienced excruciating pain and was rushed straight to the emergency theatre and underwent life-saving surgery to stop a bowel leak and resulting poisoning (sepsis) the doctors had found.
The operation has left Toni with an ileostomy bag (stoma bag), stomach tube, colon tube, nasal tube, severe vomiting, and 40+ degree temperatures.
As Toni says – “ I’ve been poked and prodded like a pincushion”.
Over the next 6 months, she will undergo what we hope is life-saving intensive chemotherapy. This leaves Toni unable to work as the amazing florist she is. With ongoing medical bills, Doctors bills and other associated costs, this will cause a hugely concerning financial burden on the family.
We are looking at raising as much money as we can to pay for her ridiculous Doctors bills. Any amount that you are able to contribute would help and be greatly appreciated. To cover these core costs we are looking at raising $25,000 to get the family through this difficult time.
Any amount raised over our target will go straight back to Bowel Cancer Australia to help find a cure for this horrible disease and support other families going through the same thing as the Brown's.
More than anything, we ask that you keep Toni and her beautifully supporting husband and young children in your thoughts and wishes.
Toni has a long and difficult road ahead but with her strength and positivity, we are sure she will beat this.
Toni is the most positive, go-getting, fighting, inspirational and kind person you will ever meet. We all know she will kick cancer to the kerb and be back to her 100-mile an hour, talking underwater self we all know and love.
