Helping the Magnussen Family

Donation protected
The Magnussen Family needs our help …  Many of us know Angel- the young woman from Vancouver Island who shares hugs and warm blankets full of love to sick and critically ill children around the world.. but  the  Hugginz by Angel Foundation is run by two amazing  ‘ANGELS’ ; Angel and Cheryl Magnussen. Cheryl is the MOM behind Angel most of us know her as ‘Nurse Mom’.

For those that don’t know Angel she is the creator and founder of ‘HUGGINZ BY ANGEL’, a non profit foundation that provides love and support to sick children and their families by sewing them blankets full of love that wrap them in a warm hug along with providing emotional support and friendship.

These Love and Hug filled blankets aren’t ordinary blankets. They have Hearts sewn into each corner and a pocket that you can put your stuffed toy in with an Angel sewn onto the pocket to watch over them. The Blankets are sent out to sick Kids all around the world and people can go to the Hugginz web site and sponsor a child’s blanket wish.

What many people don’t know is that Angel is supported by an amazing family, and an AMAZING Mother, one who encourages her to embrace her ‘Abilities’ and taught her that challenges are just obstacles to overcome. These skills and support have helped Angel to harness her love into an amazing fore that makes a difference in the world.

Nurse MOM has been there every step of the way driving Angel to her appointments and helping her through tough times. This is where we need all of Team Hugginz Angels to help out.  The Magnussen family really needs our help.

Nurse Mom has been diagnosed with a tumor that is affecting her eyesight and putting her at risk for a stroke or going completely blind. That means both Nurse Mom and Angel will need to be in Vancouver for an extended period of time and they need our help to make sure Angel can still send her blankets to the critically ill children around the world looking for hope and support.

You can read more about the situation as written by the Magnussen family on the Hugginz Blog:

We hope to raise enough $ in the next 8 weeks to help find accommodations in Vancouver and to create an interim Hugginz Studio allowing Angel and Nurse Mom Cheryl to stay together while both are receiving treatment for their medical concerns while not letting down the many children waiting for their blankets full of love and hope.

"Update"
Cheryl confirmed her date for Surgery will be April 8th and needs to get moved over to Vancouver on April 1st so they have time to set up Angels temporary Hugginz Studio and for Cheryl to attend a few preliminary Dr. Meeting before the big day. Please keep her in our daily prayers and thoughts.
