Stella's Medical Fund

Stella is a 3 year old Shiba Inu who recently was in a bad accident. 3 weeks ago she was going outside to greet one of her owners when she slipped on the ice. The owner's truck was also sliding on ice going up the steep driveway crushing Stella underneath it. She seemed to be doing fine afterwards.....so we thought we had gotten very lucky. Little did we know two days after the incident Stella's body was swollen and bruised and was limping badly. She was rushed to the vet which she was told that the truck crushed her to he point where her skin was damaged badly and would probably start to fall off due to dying tissue. A few days later that very thing started to happen, when trying to apply her antibiotic ointment we noticed that her wounds had opened and we could see flesh! She was rushed to the vet where she was taken into surgery that night. After 1 surgery and 2 skin removal procedures she now has had ALL of her skin removed from her chest and abdomen with some complications of infection and remaining tissue that is still falling off. Stella has extensive bandaging done every day which will hopefully allow her to heal without more contamination of her open wounds



. With us being first time parents of a 4 month old and recently starting our own small business we are unable to afford the tremendous cost of health care that is needed to help our poor dog. We could not imagine our lives without our beloved Stella and would GREATLY appreciate any donations. We need help soon so we can afford another procedure for Stella to have her remaining skin sewn back together to allow for a quicker recovery. Here is a picture of her stomach on Monday but since then our vet has had to take more dead skin off and her fever remains elevated. Please help us with the cost of bandaging, medicines and surgical procedures. Thank You!
