Help Sophia Fight Lyme Disease

THE BACKSTORY
I am raising money to help one of the strongest and happiest people I know. One of my closest friends' sister Sophia has Lyme Disease. Unfortunately this is a disease that isn't well documented and there isn't a huge amount of knowledge of the disease. Also currently...there is no cure.
I am raising money to contribute towards further treatments that are unavailable within the UK.

MY AIM
For those of you who know me, I am not the fittest of people and am certainly not built to be a runner.
There are 50 Days until New Years Day and my aim is to complete 150 miles running throughout those days (who knows i may even run more). Whilst it doesn't seem like a lot. Its 3 miles a day. This is everyday, including Christmas Day and New Years Day. This doesn't include any other activities for example football training. This is a separate run everyday.
I will be tracking my runs and hopefully getting quicker as I go.

WHAT IS LYME DISEASE
Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by the Borrellia bacteria. It can be transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected tick, flea or biting fly. Symptoms include feeling flu-like, extreme tiredness, muscle pain & weakness, joint pain, upset digestive system, headache, disturbances of the central nervous system and insomnia. Treatment is with antibiotics and is most effective if started as early as possible in the disease. Chronic Lyme Disease is much more difficult to treat and involves longer courses of antibiotics, combinations of antibiotics and additional therapies. Currently there isn't enough knowledge on Lyme Disease to say there is a common cure and with each case the cure can be different. But treatments can help and with the help of any donations this can be achieved.
