Help Puppy Zelda!

Hello everyone.  We are Hope and Zak, a young couple living on Cape Cod and running our own small business.  We have a 5 month old puppy named Zelda who is an absolute angel and very important to us.  Unfortunately, she has recently had some serious health issues that we really need some help with.  We have exhausted all of our financial means and she needs more tests and treatment.  But first, a little more about our history...

Only two years ago, we adopted a little black lab mix puppy from Mississippi and named him Archer.  He was our best buddy and we loved him dearly.  This past June, just a month before his second birthday, we suddenly discovered that he had very advanced lymphoma and were faced with the impossible decision of treating it, with the outcome of another 6 months to a year of life at maximum while watching his health rapidly decline, or putting him to sleep that day.  We chose to end his suffering with both of us by his side.  He went peacefully, but we were absolutely devastated and still are.

Only a couple of weeks later, little miss Zelda showed up and we adopted her from the MSPCA in Boston.  She had been picked up as a stray in very bad shape, but she was the sweetest little thing and we fell in love with her immediately.  We worked on getting her weight up and socializing her, and ever since she has become a local celebrity loved by all.

In the past few weeks, we've noticed some strange issues with her health and in the past week were told that she has a very serious neurological illness.  We've done lots of diagnostic tests, but so far nothing has told us what is going on with her.  The only option left is an MRI and spinal tap, which will hopefully give us more information and tell us whether or not we would be able to treat her.  As of now, she could have something autoimmune/inflammatory, infectious, congenital, or neoplastic; in all scenarios, the prognosis could go either way.  We couldn't bear to euthanize her without trying everything we could for her, so we elected to do the MRI to see exactly what is happening in her brain.

We do not want to ask people for money, but it has gotten to the point where we could really use some help.  We  have only just started to get over the financial burden of Archer's problems and are faced with more not even 4 months later.  Her doctors have said that either outcome is possible: she could have something incurable or something treatable, but the only way to know is to go through these final tests and see if we can treat her.  Your contribution will help us pay for the MRI, spinal tap, her stay at VCA Weymouth, and hopefully treatment.  

She hasn't given up yet, and neither can we.
