UPDATE: Sami is home and healing at an incredible rate. She's been so cooperative with her instructions from the vet and she continues to show signs of improvement everyday. She is still on restriction, no running, jumping, climbing on furniture, or playing. Hoping that will change with her X-ray results next week, 6/22/16. We appreciate the support of everyone and are not only fortunate but blessed that Sami is so loved. Thank you all for your continued support.
Sami is a 8 year old Boston Terrier/Pitbull mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. An unforeseen event occurred while we were 1,000+ miles away on a vacation and we're blessed that she's still with us due to the vigilence and support of family and friends. Sami was taken to the emergency vet, where she stayed for 14 days. She had multiple fractures in her arm and extensive wounds that had to be cleaned and re-dressed every single day. After exhausting all of our financial and monetary resources of loans, credit cards, savings accounts, care credit, using every penny that we have, to flat out borrowing cash from my mother, my fiancé and I are left with an exuberantly high emergency veterinary debt with nowhere left to turn.
Sami has already had multiple surgeries for her wounds and a metal plate with screws placed in her front right leg on Friday, 4/22/2016. She continues to show signs of improvement everyday.
