Help Save Kobe

Please help us save Kobe our beloved best friend.

Kobe has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He is fortunate in some ways, because the placement of his tumor means it can be treated. With the use of chemo and radiation the doctors are confident they can prevent the tumor from growing further, stablize it and possibly shrink the tumor. Ultimately prolonging Kobe's life to be as long and full as possible. 

Both chemo and raditaion come with very little side effects for dogs. Our ultimate goal is to give Kobe a long and happy life. We would not go forward with any treatment that would impact his quality of life negatively. Less than 5% of dogs have any side effects from cancer treatment. We are working with oncologists who have many years experience. In fact with similar treatment they helped save our friend's dog. Doc had a brain tumor and two years and 8 months later, Doc is going strong.

Kobe is far more than a dog, he is family and 8 years ago at the Taunton Animal Shelter he rescued Kerri. He visits a local nursing home and has worked with Kerri's clients (she is a Clinical Social Worker.) Kobe has become popular, for his silly costumes that put a smile on everyone's face. His calm, gentle and loving demanor have made so many fall in love with him. Kobe deserves every chance he can get, he has given so much to so many. 

Please if you can help us save him, we will be forever grateful. It kills us that there is a way to save Kobe, but financially we cannot obtain it. Kobe deserves a long, happy life.

Kobe was a huge part of Ben & Kerri's wedding, as he is a huge part of their lives.
