Help Students in SWIFF Lead program

A couple years ago, I noticed the importance and need to create this platform for the children in the greater community of Léogâne. Léogâne is the hometown of my parents. Many families are unable to send their children to school alone to support a tutoring/mentoring after school program.
They also have additional expenses, such as school uniforms and supplies, books, shoes and healthcare which they cannot afford. Most of the families in the remote area cannot even afford food.
I decided to create the organization to offer a positive and edifying environment for the youth to thrive. This is a platform where the children can come and have a second family, enhance their educational development, and benefit from community outreach campaigns and healthcare initiatives. Also, when the opportunity to partner with an orphanage named Saint-François d’Assise was presented to me and I felt it was something we couldn't pass on. SWIFF Inc. aims to provide resources for school aged-children in Haiti through our after school program which offers educational resources and medical assistance.
I’m passionate about promoting better opportunity and a safe healthy environment for underserved children also understand the importance to create sustainable assistance for these children where they can strive for a better tomorrow. To carryout this project we have started this campaign and sought out your help with any amount.
GOAL:
Our main focus is to help these children to develop intellectually and morally in a healthy environment and provide them with the necessary tools and resources to excel academically. These children all they want is an opportunity to reach their full capacity, a place to share their ideas, resources for growth, access to quality education.
We are collecting school supplies and donations towards covering SWIFF Lead program and tuition for the students. Our programs are giving them a chance to receive educational support, medical assistance, a place to prosper and to cultivate their future. We can’t do this without you.
WHY DONATE:
There is a great need for educational support in Haiti now more than ever.
Some of the issues we are (the Orphanage center) currently facing are as follows:
· Lack of school supplies (Textbooks, notebooks, pen, pencils, backpacks, etc.)
· Purchasing school uniforms
· Tutoring fees
· Access to quality healthcare
· Daily snack, lunch, and dinner to students
· Other various needs: toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, toothbrush, sheets, clothes and shoes
Your generous contribution will help us exceed our goal and support these beautiful children with a brighter future and better education. It will improve the education and health outcomes of those underserved children and helps to reduce a major barrier to learning.
We have set a monetary goal of $5000 – this is doable and only a small portion of what it is needed.

LOCATION:
Léogane, Haiti - (a city near Port-au-Prince) and Orphanage center (Le Centre Orphelinat Saint-François d’Assise) located in LaTremblay 12, Croix Des Bouquets, Haiti
The center consists of 53 young girls in total ranging from ages of 5-16 years old.
We are aiming to sponsor at least 10 students experiencing financial difficulty in Léogane, Haiti.

Sept 1- 2nd, 2016
Location: CEAL de Guérin and Ecole Nationale de Bossan, Léogane Haiti
Our first annual Medical Mobil Clinic in partnering with a cultural organization - APDACH took place in Léogane, from Sept 1- 2nd, 2016 in two different locations. We served over 300 kids and their parents.
The purpose of this event is to provide medical care for children and their families before the new school year; deliver medical supplies and hygiene kits, educational information on various diseases; maintain periodic health activity in order to support the population Léoganaise.

“Toast for a Purpose” - This event was our first official networking Fundraising Happy Hour. We were able to raise $100. See pictures on swiffinc.org
April 5th, 2017
Location: Buffalo Wild Wings, College Park MD
“Wings for Good Things” – In collaboration with Vision 1804 Inc., we had Wings for Good Things. An event that rallied the community for a great cause to support the advancement of our educational programs. We received a donation of $80 from Buffalo Wild Wings corporate. See pictures on swiffinc.org

Location: Saint Francois D’asise Orphelinat School in LaTremblay, Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti
Fête de Pâques (Easter Celebration) & Student Assessment
We provided traditional meals, distributed clothing items and created a fun family atmosphere for the children to celebrate the Easter holiday. See pictures on swiffinc.org
