Help Nadine Lamberton Beat Cancer

We are blessed people, don't get me wrong but the news when you get it is extremely bewildering. 'You have cancer'. Those who say a million thoughts run through your head as a husband is told the love of his life has this horrid illness is wrong. Just a realisation that you have to step up and be a rock, a solid unmoveable place your partner can rely on 100% of the time with no exception. We are a strong couple, with a new wonderful baby boy Zachary and my wife Nadine is starting the second phase of her cancer treatment,  a stem cell transplant. My wife is 29..... and has myeloma which makes up 1% of all known cancers. Its in her bones and has a side effect on her kidneys which are only working at a third capacity. So having a baby after going through chemotherapy and realising that the menopause is brought forward puts on soo much pressure! Pressure which Nadine dealt with very well. She's a strong positive person and has influenced many people to be the same in times of adversity so now is the chance to celebrate that by giving Nadine the most enjoyable recovery

Hi,

Im Brian and im raising money for my family especially my wife and son to show them that there are many people that are good and trusting in this world. This money will pay for our constant travel to and from the Royal Free hospital London, will help keep a roof over our heads whilst my wife is on reduced pay and still uncertain how she will feel after the four week and three month full recovery. I want her to spend as much time with our wonderful son away from work and if bringing up a child with a full time mum is the only reason you donate then god bless you and everything you stand for.

You can help my wife lead a stress free life focused on recovery and precious time with our son. She'll be in hospital on her 30th birthday so please help me give her a nice birthday present. Anything helps. Should you not want to donate,  thats not a problem. Just a prayer from each one of you will be wonderful. I thank you in advance you wonderful people. Xxxxx

A big thanks to Thanet Fit Club and it's participants for raising the recent amount to fund Nadines recovery. It's a pleasure being part of such a great group.

So Nadine has settled into home life now and it is my last week on part time hours so that I can make sure my wife recovers and settles properly. We have now come out of the wood and are approaching the shore and back to normality with hopefully plain sailing for the next few years.

I/We will use this time to put back into the community what you have given us. Claire Edmonds who runs Snips Barbers in Westgate held a fundraising head shave today so will post the results of that soon and Gemma Girdler has also raised a great amount of cash for cancer research with various other charity benefits all stemming from Nadines condition.

Once again Thankyou all for your help.

Please share our cause once again for a final push around the world. Please tell people about it so that they may be inspired to be as kind as you..

Hi all. So the day has finally arrived. It seems like a lifetime to me and I'm sure many lifetimes to Nadine but she has been discharged from the Royal Free Hospital. We're on our way to pick her up now and will get her home quick so she can start recovering and adjusting to normal life again. I'm not sure how she's not gone crazy up there alone for long periods and being so I'll. At the same time I'm not surprised. She's a fighter. So now begins the recovery. If you have been thinking about it but haven't had then chance or you're seeing this for the first time, please join a very popular local crusade and donate what you can so that we can provide peace of mind to Nadine in this period of uncertainty. Where do we go from here? Soo many thoughts to process and a long happy life to lead with our family and great friends. Time to start paying forward to the community. To speak to strangers. Not to be afraid to get to know your next door neighbour as it is them who are experiencing life issues just as us. Maybe you can help? Maybe they can help you?

Big thank you to Thanet Fit Club for raising money for our cause via a sponsored first test and a happy 1st birthday to them.

Thanks to those that donated to our family to get our heads shaved in support of Nadine.

If you want yours shaved. Pop down to Snips Barbers in Westgate on sea on the 22nd April and join the bald army!

Thanks again and speak soon. At some point we will close this fund so please please please share it to get the maximum coverage it deserves.
Thank you x

SO. Nadine looks as though she has gone through the worst of it and seems to be recovering well. Her hair however is falling out as we expected. This is a call to arms to all who are reading. If you don't know her but want to show some support, SHAVE YOUR HEAD and get donations for her cause!! Ultimately a great way to make your friends aware this is happening and to help raise awareness of the cancer called Myeloma. YOU will probably know or be involved with cancer sometime in your life so use yourself as an example of support. We will as a family continue to battle this our entire life in different phases so help us help you realise that you can be part of the cure. Xxx Thank you all that have donated, prayed, wished, shared, spared a thought.. Xx

So Nadine has been in hospital for a week and two days now. As usual she is her fighting self but no amount of fighting spirit can spare her the symptoms of chemotherapy. Today she is struggling to swallow and has been told that her immune system is dropping from which she will receive an infection. This is when she will receive high doses of antibiotics to tackle what comes around. Next week will be a telling time and probably will the worst week of her life thus far and maybe the most precarious. Please share her cause if not for anything else, support. I estimate that half of the money raised so far will be the average amount spent on just travel so that Nadine can see her family which is for her the most important part of her survival. To have some kind of normality day to day may seem trivial but it really isn't.
Thank you everyone once again for your thoughts and prayers. Please share our cause so that my wife feels overwhelmed with support. Xxx much love, peace and gratitude xxx

I would like to thank everyone who has donated, shared, liked, you all have made a tremendous contribution to our family in so many ways. Many go through life with good health, but we all know through our own family trials, how unbearable and heartbreaking cancer can be. Nadine is one of the lucky ones you could say,but she still has a few mountains to climb throughout the rest of her life, but for this time i thank god and you all for bringing her back home to us.Knowing Nadine she will carry on with drive and passion for her family. Because that what life is about. THANK YOU ALL xxxx

Well what can i say....thank you just does not seem fitting, with the donations received it really is heart wrenching, to think so many of you have supported my beautiful daughter and her family. Nadine truly is an inspiration to so many, shes just not bowed down to let this disease take control of her, but she has most certainly taken control of the beast. Her next set of treatment is due any day now, and she will still come out smiling the other side, and you giving all the support you have done is all she needs to help her fight..., friends, family, friends of friends its endless so from the bottom of my heart id like to thank each and every single one of you for both the help in donations, but more importantly knowing you are all behind her every step of the way.... God bless you all xxxx
