Help Milica with her battle against MS!

Milica Vasic is a 26 year old woman, living in Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbia with her husband and 7 year old daughter. Milica is currently facing the biggest battle of her life, her fight against Multiple Sclerosis (MS); an unpredictable and incurable autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). 

She has been battling MS for almost 10 years, but has recently had the disease progress into Phase 2: Progressive MS, a state in which relapses (where symptoms get worse but then get better) and remissions no longer occur. From here, unfortunately, the disease and her symptoms will continue to get worse with very little chance of improvement. Milica is already experiencing many of the MS symptoms: limited mobility, bladder dysfunction, fatigue, tremors, vision issues and we want to do whatever we can to give her the best quality of life she deserves, and to make sure her daughter has a mom around for many years to come. 

At this time, Milica has exhausted all treatment options in her native Serbia, but has been told by her neurologist about a treatment which is not approved for use in her home country. The promising treatment, Ocrelizumab, is available at the price of 90,000 euros for which our family is not able to afford. This is Milica's last chance at slowing down her MS and so we are pleading to all the good people of this world to make a donation to help this young woman and her little family.  

Any donation amount is welcomed and appreciated! All funds will be collected in Canada and will be sent directly to Milica Vasic by me (her cousin) at the end of the campaign.

Milica Vasić (1993. godište), rođena je u Kosovskoj Mitrovici gde i sada živi. Majka je sedmogodišnje Une i duže od deset godina boluje od Multiple Skleroze (MS) – sekundarno progresivni tip bolesti, koji brzo napreduje. 

Milica je do sada primala razne lekove, međutim, s obzirom na tip bolesti, nijedan od njih nije delovao. 

Upravo zbog toga što uobičajeni lekovi koji se mogu pronaći u srpskim apotekama nemaju efekta, Milica trenutno ne prima nikakvu terapiju.

Jedini lek koji bi mogao da spreči razvoj ove bolesti, je Okrilizumab koji košta oko 90.000 evra i koji se u Srbiji ne nalazi na pozitivnoj listi lekova.

Milica nije u mogućnosti da radi, dok nasa porodica nema novčana sredstva potrebna za terapiju.

Nasa porodica poziva sve ljude dobre volje koji su u mogućnosti da pomognu Milici.
