Maxwell Tchatchoua's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Maxwell was enjoying his final summer before starting high school when his life dramatically changed on a hot and humid summer morning on August 11, 2015.  On that morning, Maxwell attended "heat acclimation" summer camp for the Penn Hills freshman football team.  It was his first time ever wearing shoulder pads and a helmet.  By the end of the three (3) hour practice, which lasted from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Maxwell was severely dehydrated and his body was decomposing.  At the end, the coaching staff walked off the field and left Maxwell behind in critical condition.  Had Maxwell's mother not acted swiftly, Maxwell may have died.

Once in his mother's vehicle, Maxwell began experiencing a metabolic crises that lead to a series of diffuse acute strokes.  The strokes caused significant permanent brain damage and Maxwell's prognosis was grim.  The brain injury has left Maxwell with lifelong medical problems that will require expensive medical care.

This fund was started to help Maxwell's recovery.  Maxwell has defied medical expectations by exceeding what his medical providers thought was realistic, but remains far away from regaining full function.  Maxwell is a hard working young man who wants to live a normal life and have a normal high school experience.  Please share this with your friends and family, as any support makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.
