Help Matheus to get surgery

My name is Roberta Coelho Will, i am from Brazil, but I currently live in Vermont, Usa. Matheus is my nephew, he was born with neurofibromatosis tye 1, a condition caracterized by growth of tumors along nerves in the skin , face and neck. He lives in Brasil with his family, where, he had several surgeries. His journey started when he was only 2 years old and had the first surgery, he has been treated for this condition since then, but now brasilian doctors told us that they cannot help him anymore. He needs a team of specialist.
Since last year, the tumors started to grow extremely fast closing partially his throat making him not able eat solid foods. Then this year he stopped to eat completly, loosing a lot of weight, energy and hope. Two weeks ago he stop breathing , and had a emergency tracheostomy surgery done.
He is only 19 years old. Now he doesn't believe that he can win against his condition. He doesn't wanna go out anymore or even see his friends.
In Florida University Hospital there are specialists that can help him to remove the tumors on his face and provide gene terapy to avoid further growth. This is our last hope.
The initial cost of traveling, housing and an appointment with a specialist and examinations is about 20,000.00 dollars. In Brazil my family is selling everything they can to raise funds, but brasilian money is worth 4 times less than a dollar,so they don't have nearly enough to bring him over.
Florida University Hospital is the only chance he has to improve his quality of life. So we desperatly need your help.
