Culpeper — Mary Frances Richmond a long-time resident of Virginia, passed away Monday the 28th of August at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD. Born in 1948 in Erie PA Mary received a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA She spent her life serving others as a nurse. Her nursing career spanned the full spectrum of healthcare including Intensive care, nursing education, public health, and management.
Mary loved time in and around flowing water, nurturing her garden, spending time with friends, and giving advice. She lived her life with undeterred passion and was a force to be reckoned with. She is survived by her two sons, Bryan Bruttig, Steven Cowan, and her four grandchildren. The Clore-English Funeral Home of Culpeper, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation and Service 2PM-5PM Sunday September 3, 2017
Our Peaceful Warrior has gone to her eternal rest. The World will be a bit less bright for us without her quiet strength. She battled bravely through many moons of strife and physical pains always steadfast loyal and true. She was a beautiful example of love in action selfless and kind. Always ready to help giving of her time talents and resources. American thru and thru a devoted citizen and patriot
