Help Janice Kick Cancer's Butt!

Donation protected
My mother in law, Janice was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal/colon cancer in the Spring 2018.  She completed her intensive chemo and radiation treatments and now faces her first surgery tomorrow, September 27.  Her first surgery she's having is a diverting colostomy which allows her bowels/rectum to heal from having a portion removedfor a 2-6 month period of time. Once healed, she will face a second surgery to remove the colostomy and reattach the intestines. If you'd like to read more about the surgery: http://www.cancer.ca/en/cancer-information/cancer-type/colorectal/treatment/surgery/?region=on#ixzz5SDGFZ2ZV

Following her second surgery & recovery, she'll be starting a second round of chemo treatments for 4 months.

Due to the increasing pain and discomfort she was required to take more time off work and therefore wasn't able to "save" any funds before going out on medical leave.  She is a single woman who was working 2 jobs (administrative assistant at NB Anglophone East School Board District Office and cleaning on the evening and weekends) to live pay-check-to-pay-check with her current bills (mortgage, vehicle payment, regular bills: power, cell, food, insurance, etc).

Any donated funds will be used to help support her during this difficult time and relieve some of the financial pressures she continues to face. We hope to help her focus on her recovery from surgery #1 (recovery  2-6 months) not worry about her financial obligations. Once recovered, she faces surgery #2 to reattach intestines and remove the colostomy (2-6 months recovery), and then begin her second round of intensive chemo.

*June 15: Janice woke up to a BIG leak in her roof (from her main floor to basement) so this needs to be a priority so she can be in a healthy, safe environment. Janice STILL requires a new roof to be installed*

Your donation(s) and share(s) are so greatly appreciated by a woman who loves her 8 grandchildren fiercely, regularly gives her time freely to others and now needs our help: she is regularly found at St. Augustine's Church helping with baptism and communion, fundraisers for District 2/school board (Stuff-a-Bus) and other school related fundraisers.

Thank you on behalf of Janice Caissie & sons (Rob Caissie, Steven & Andrew Farren & families)
