Hey Guys!
For those who know Keven, whether it was in Vanuatu or met him at my wedding, will know he is truly a part of our family!
Big Kev lives on the island of Lelepa off Efate in Vanuatu with his wife Doreen and his 4 kids. Simple island life, no electricity, basic commodities and a tin shed house on a dirt floor. For those lucky enough to have visited his home are always welcomed in open arms.
The contrast of our lives is what makes our experience over in Vanuatu so special. Things that we take for granted and are privileged to are hard to come by over there. But this doesn't affect his attitude and its quite humbling to see how happy he is, all the time!
Keven makes enough money to get by and feed the family, about $18 for a days work is normal. With that sort of cash flow its hard to get ahead and save up for nice things.
Now Keven needs our help.
Over the last year or so he has been building his family a new home. With the help from some of us boys last year we all chipped in to help him pay for a concrete slab! further donations and he managed to build block walls and now finally, the roof! (the other one blew away by cyclone Pam!)
$3300 is all he needs to pay for the building materials, which is a lot of money for Kev to come by. But collectively I'm hoping we can all chip in together and get his house built by christmas! even if its just a few bucks!
Kev and his family will appreciate anything that we give them, so thanks to everyone who can help out!!
All funds raised will be sent to Keven.
