Hello,
My name is Hannah and I am raising money on behalf of my world Jordan whilst he fights cancer.
Jordan and I have been together 3 years, and it has been the best 3 years of my life, I adore every inch of him!
Jordan had been suffering with some abdominal pain and spent a couple of months backwards and forwards to the Doctor’s. After what felt like a life time, he finally received an appointment for an ultrasound. This scan found a mass in his abdomen and after further investigation we were heartbroken to discover that Jordan was diagnosed with Stage 2 Testicular Cancer which has spread to his abdomen.
We never in a million years expected to hear those words. Jordan was a healthy 26-year-old, doesn't drink or smoke and has an active job as a Roofer.
Jordan is now beginning his journey to beat this nasty disease and has had his first operation to remove his testicle, chemotherapy is fast approaching.
Jordan is now unable to work for the foreseeable future and so we are reaching out for a little help and support towards day to day life. This in itself is absolutely devastating for him, he has worked so hard all his life and has always paid his way so to have to ask for help just isn't him.
Due to myself still bringing in an income, we are not eligible for any kind of grant but my income doesn’t cover all the bills, let alone the costs associated with travelling to the Cancer unit on a regular basis. The last thing I want is the stress of money worries to take away energy from Jordan that should be focused on recovery.
No amount of words could ever describe exactly how devastated we are, neither of us have ever had to deal with anything like this before.
Together we will get through it, he is such a strong person and I admire his strength and determination that he shows everyday.
Once we have got through this (and we will) we will be donating any funds that are left over equally to Cancer Research and Macmillan Cancer Support.
