Helping Mini Mite Liam Stand Tall

Little Liam Hansen, is a soon to be 5 yr old with alot energy and character.   Liam has a severe form of congenital kypho-scoliosis. He currently has a 91 degree curve in his spine. On September 28th Liam will be having his first rod placement surgery that includes a spinal fusion. This is to begin to correct his curve as currently it is begin to twist and cause discomfort. He will be in the hospital for 5-7 days and then will have a 3-4 month recovery. This little guy is tough though and he isn't let any of this slow him down.  His first major surgery occurred at 11 mo to fix a hole in his heart.  He also had a tether release surgery when he was 2 He has battled through casts, and braces.  He has never let anything stop him from just being a little boy.  He played his first year of hockey with Sauk Rapids Youth Hockey mini mites and baseball in Rice, Mn and looks forward to playing more after recovery.
