Kindness for J.C. Mattox

Donation protected
Dear Mystic Alumni, Friends of Camp Mystic, Campers and Counselors,

You may have heard of the great sadness regarding our dear friends and Camp Mystic pillars J.C., Ira Bell and their daughter Karen Mattox.
They lost their home in Kerrville  on Sunday, March 3rd due to a fire.   J.C. rushed to get Ira Bell out, but the electricity failed as they tried to exit and she succumbed to the smoke.   Ira Bell was hospitalized at Brooke Army Medical center and passed away on March 7th.
Sweet Ira Bell surely had a magnificent welcome to heaven!

Their home and belongings were a total loss.

Karen moved back to Kerrville to care for her parents and is now assisting J.C. in next steps of housing and replacement of their personal items.   Thankfully their home was insured and their agent has been very involved. They are in the midst of trying to find a new home.

There are still many needs.
With Karen’s gracious permission to accept help, this gofundme account has been set up.  If you would like to assist or even convey words of encouragement, it would be so meaningful to J.C. and Karen.

Thank you for your consideration.  And, please let others know.

Mystic love to all!
